Thanks for attending the webinar on Wednesday. We had a great discussion about the latest trends in local map optimization. The most interesting thing to us is that the lines between local map and social media are really blurring. Google Places and Google+, for example, both have status update features. It seems silly to think that a business should have to keep its status messages up to date on two services by the same company. There is no doubt that we are still very early in the blending of local and social.
On a more traditional organic front, the latest research is showing that traditional inbound link numbers and anchor text are serving as the tie breakers for businesses that have verified and complete listing profiles.
