As technology increases, the spread of information in several different formats is also becoming more rapid. Perhaps the biggest area where shared content occurs is on the Web, where the same information tends to show up in several different spots with little time separating the posts. When information is voluntarily shared among media outlets it is known as syndication. The concept of print syndication carries over to broadcast and Web content as well. Information that has a wide appeal is easily copied from one broadcast or Web entity to another. While it may lack some creativity, the facts are the facts as far as broadcast and print syndication is concerned. The ability to use the same content in a variety of Web and broadcast locations saves costs on staff and page design, keeping revenue up for these media entities.
